Have you ever heard the term Corporate University (CU)? This term is a new business trends and global phenomenon for the businessmen who realized the importance of quality human capital resources which have become the Human Energy.

 

CU is initially originating from America. It is a manifestation of the vision of the company that is aware of the importance of human resources as the company’s main asset, and is used purely as a strategic instrument to achieve its goals. Indeed when viewed from The Iceberg Strategy to successfully implement the strategy; it turns out the technical elements which are based on scientific management – is not enough. Based on empirical studies, such as businessmen who own experience, the biggest factor that becomes a challenge during the implementation of the strategy is the human-social factors, which are “below the water surface.” Invisible but very determine the success of implementation.

In the year 1993, only a few companies that believe in the importance of CU, but in 2001 the CU has become an internal part of the 2000 companies including Motorola (the pioneer of Six Sigma), Walt Disney, Boeing, Intel University, Sun U (owned by Sun Microsystems), and Apple University.
